Throwback to the World Vaccine Congress edition in Barcelona, Spain
The IDEVAX team participated at the well-reputed World Vaccine Congress from the 10th to 13th of October in Barcelona, Spain.
Many participants paid a visit to the interactive IDEVAX booth in the start-up village where they learned more about VAX-ID and the benefits of intradermal vaccine administration.
Our team member Daniele Vasconcelos presented in vivo results of a recent injectability, safety and performance evaluation of the VAX-ID 2200 device in piglets.

This congress was filled with scientific discussions in the field of vaccinology, infectious diseases, immunology, oncology, innovative vaccine technologies and platforms, the current ongoing pandemic of COVID19, and the Monkeypox health emergency.
Some of our key takeaways and highlights
💡 Platforms technologies are an important way forward to develop new vaccines for a variety of infectious disease and oncology applications. All stakeholders need to work together very closely to anticipate on any new threat or pandemic. We are open to support them solving initial shortages.
💡 Without a dedicated intervention on the Monkeypox health emergency, the virus will not go away, and even if it does, it can come back and manifest differently. Many governments started to adopt the intradermal route for delivering the Monkeypox vaccine, for its dose-sparing advantages, which will help in maximizing the available supply.
Check our 📍 white paper on Monkeypox and the potential of VAX-ID® in fighting this health emergency.
💡 Our lessons learnt from the current COVID19 pandemic must be applied to be prepared to fight against whichever might come next. Additional funding is upcoming now for pandemic preparedness. This should as well cover innovative biotechnologies to help in mass vaccination. We’re open to partner on any upcoming initiatives.
Next to the vivid discussions at our booth and getting up to speed with science at the conference, we loved networking at the extraordinary receptions at the terrace of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and the Barcelona Estacio.
Our key quote we took home from this congress “Prevention is better than the cure”.
