In 1989 Wietse obtained in Utrecht a master in Chemical Biology. In 1995 he completed his PhD thesis in Molecular Biology at University of Amsterdam. With a few decades of experience in life sciences, he is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and board member who is passionate about driving innovation and growth in molecular diagnostics and immunotherapy. Wietse has a proven track record of founding, leading, and selling successful companies, as well as supporting and advising emerging ventures in the field.
He leverages his scientific knowledge and entrepreneurial skills to co-author multiple publications and presentations on topics such as next generation sequencing, hybrid molecules, and HLA loss variants. He is also committed to giving back to the community and raising funds for various charitable causes. He is founder of TxMiller Foundation and Ebiqs Foundation. Wietse is initiator of the Dutch BioBusiness Masterclass supporting start up company and their entrepreneurs
