Meet Sidharth — Our New Intern at IDEVAX

We are excited to welcome a new intern Sidharth to our IDEVAX family. Sidharth has joined our R&D team. Pursing a PhD in the Elementary Processes in Gas Discharges, at Eindhoven University of technology, he will be focusing on developing methodologies to optimize needle selection and injection force to help minimize patient discomfort, over the next few months.

In this blog we highlight Sidharth’s story, focusing on why he loves science and what he will be doing at IDEVAX.

1. Can you tell us a bit about your research background and what brought you to this PhD project🎙️?

I am currently working in plasma medicine, which involves the use of cold atmospheric plasma devices for therapeutic purposes. I am focusing on actinic keratosis, a precursor stage of skin cancer caused by excessive exposure to sunlight, and exploring its treatment using plasma.

2. What excites you most about working in MedTech 🎙️?

What excites me most about working in MedTech is being able to help people and be a source of hope for them. I also enjoy the interdisciplinary nature of the work and the collaboration with doctors, which allows me to work on important topics and makes my work more relevant.

3. What do you hope to learn or achieve during your time with our team 🎙️?

I hope to learn how the team organizes their work and tackles challenges when establishing themselves in different countries. I also want to network with people who could become future collaborators, and understand how to handle legal, ethical, and administrative tasks related to MedTech projects.
