Meet Elisabed Gelashvili — Our New Intern at IDEVAX
We are excited to welcome a new intern Elisabed to our IDEVAX family. Elisabed has joined our QARA team. She is currently pursuing an international dual master’s degree in Translational Sciences in Skin Health & Biomedicine. In this blog we highlight Elisabed’s story, focusing on why she loves science and what she will be doing at IDEVAX.
1. What are you currently studying and why did you choose this field?
I am currently pursuing an international dual master’s degree in Translational Sciences in Skin Health & Biomedicine, with a specialized focus on clinical development.
More recently, my interest has shifted to the connection between skin health and overall well-being. This master’s allows me to explore how scientific knowledge is applied in practice, from design to market, including regulatory, scientific, and quality processes.
2. What interests you most about science?
For me, it has been a gradual, growing interest over many years, with biology as a particular interest. I’ve always appreciated the idea that science is a way of explaining how the world around us works, while exploring new discoveries and applying them to improve everyday life.
3. What is your role at IDEVAX and what skills do you hope to acquire through this internship?
I am an intern in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, supporting the IDEVAX team. My role includes preparing and organizing regulatory documentation, supporting scientific affairs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
Through this internship, I hope to understand how products are maintained and managed once they are on the market, while meeting regulatory and quality requirements. I aim to gain a clear insight into how medical products are handled and regulated in the EU and worldwide, ensuring safe access to medical advancements.
