Welcoming a new QARA team member  

We recently welcomed Isabel de Brito Manique, as our Chief Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs (QARA) to the IDEVAX family. Isabel joins us with many years of experience and knowledge in the healthcare space and medical device industry.

Can you share more about your education/career trajectory 🎙️?

Working since 1996, my first job after my traineeship in Belgium sponsored by the EU, was for Procter & Gamble’s European Technical Center in the outskirts of Brussels. I have worked mostly for the life sciences, in the pharma and medical devices) industry.  

I have an International Baccalaureate from the UWC in US, a BSc in Genetics from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, a MSc in Medical and Pharmaceutical Research from the VUB in Brussels and an international executive MBA from the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. 

 What interests you most about science 🎙️?  

The fact that I can contribute to improving people’s lives in terms of health, quality of life, comfort. The fact that I can leave a lasting impact as legacy.  

 Why did you decide to pick MedTech 🎙️? 

I decided to pick MedTech because it’s a less established field than traditional pharma. For me personally that means there is more room for innovative thought and action, and the impact I can make is greater. Additionally, bringing a product to market is often faster keeping a high degree of scientific depth.
